Construction Has Begun on Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2!
The first phase of Stage 2 has commenced with the Enabling Works to deliver the first 1.3 km of new light rail, including a public and active transport bridge over the Parramatta River between Wentworth Point and Melrose Park.
I'm committed to delivering this vital infrastructure project for Parramatta, which is set to generate a thousand jobs and provide much needed transport relief to our community.
Our community has been promised this for years, now the Minns Labor Government is pushing ahead with delivering a better future for Parramatta.
Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 will connect to Stage 1 and the Parramatta CBD to Sydney Olympic Park via Camellia, Rydalmere, Ermington, Melrose Park, and Wentworth Point with 14 stops over 10 kilometres.
Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 between Westmead and Carlingford (L4) was completed in December 2024, with services operating along the 16 stops from 5am to 1am.
I cannot wait to see this new bridge spring to life. If you would like to stay up to date on Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2, fill out the form below.
